Background of the Caleb Adams Manuscript
This site was inspired by a volume of
miscellaneous sermons and orations from Connecticut. Originally the volume
was property of a church library in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
At some point in the 1900's it came into the personal library of Professor Drost
(a history professor?) of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Sometime around 1980 the volume came into the personal library of my family (the Vos family).
In addition to the documents concerning Caleb Adams, in contains an oration
in George Washington's memory by Nehemiah Waterman and a history of
the town of Windham, Connecticut, plus many other sermons and
orations of regional interest.
Please don't hesitate to e-mail vosd@wlu.edu
with any questions about the manuscript or any other aspect of the website.
