In the United States, teenage pregnancy is at a ten-year low, but in the United Kigdom, rates are the worst in Western Europe. Why? This article from the British press contrasts the educational emphasis on abstinence in the US with the entrenched permisiveness of British educational practices. The contrast is truly disturbing, and for once makes me feel happy about the way things are in the United States.
